MediaTek has announced its latest Helio G36 chipset to power entry-level gaming smartphones. The chipset features eight 2.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A53 cores, IMG PowerVR GE8320 (680 MHz) GPU, and supports up to full-HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution display with up to 90Hz refresh rate.
