Gilat Satellite Networks is reported to be in talks to buy WiMAX equipment maker Airspan Networks - says Israeli newspaper, Globes.
The newspaper noted that the talks are in very early stages, with no guarantee that they will lead to a deal.
Just over a year ago, Gilat considered signing an OEM agreement with Airspan, but the talks fell through.
Pink-sheet listed Airspan, has a market cap that averages just $5 million, although the share price jumped sharply on the report of the takeover talks.
